Solar panels are fixed onto your roof using a bespoke system that is designed to last for at least 25 years. Daylight will cause an electrical current to be produced by the solar panels. The amount of electricity produced will be constantly recorded by an installed meter. The electricity meter will record in kWh (kilowatt Hours.) You will get paid by your electricity supplier 21pence per kWh produced.

In addition to this, the electricity your panels produce can be used for free in your home and the electricity which you do not use used is sold to your electricity supplier for a minimum guaranteed rate: FIT Export Tariff.

To qualify for a Feed-in-Tariff, both the PV system and the installer must be MCS certified.

Tariffs are guaranteed for 25 years from the date the Solar PV system is first registered and index linked.
